About Us
Hi, I'm Geneen!
Like many parents, I spent years thinking about homeschooling before I actually made the leap. During that time, I researched endlessly, attended homeschool events, asked lots of questions, and—honestly—I doubted myself more than once. I kept wondering, “Am I really cut out for this?”
Turns out, I wasn’t alone in those feelings. I discovered that so many other parents felt the same uncertainty, but chose to move forward anyway.
I truly loved my daughter’s school and her teachers. But when her class reached a 32:1 student-to-teacher ratio, something shifted. She was quiet, respectful, and always did her work, but that also meant she was often overlooked. Her teachers were kind but overwhelmed. I wanted more than just, “She’s quiet and answers questions when I call on her.”
Especially when she told me she would raise her hand to ask questions, and rarely got called on.
That’s when I knew: it was time for a change.
Our Homeschool Journey
When we started, all we had were online courses. I knew I wanted more—more social interaction, personalized learning, and access to subjects our local schools didn’t offer.
Fast-forward to today:
We’re part of a homeschool co-op and tutorial, and my daughter is taking engineering classes at a local STEM center! Watching her confidence and curiosity grow has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
